ABSTRACT

The ultrasonic inspection of products of the complex form is especially difficult when they have the wedge- angled form. In this case it is necessary to know properties of waves propagation in angle region. The problem of the description of waves propagation in these areas remains topical up to now. Solution of the problem of acoustic field formation in the acute-angled wedge, when Rayleigh wave propagates over one of the surfaces, is solved by means of classic analytical techniques. Obtained expressions, describing spatial distribution of diffracted waves, agree with known measuring results.
