ABSTRACT

The gained experience of the designing, exploitation and investigation of the planetary gears made it possible to work up some proposals for reduction their vibrations level by the mutual compensation of the exciting forces. Some examples are presented in this paper. But vibration can not be reduced significantly until the equalization of static loading both in parallel stream and along the face width is reached. It is especially important for the marine gears because of non-uniform loading of the planetary pinions due to large gear weights. Recommendations are worked out on the designing of the planetary gears in which the gear meshes are unloaded from their weights.

Key words: vibration, planetary gearbox, static loading.
