On the simulation of sea shelf surface bottom wave

ABSTRACT

An analysis of surface and body bottom wave amplitude spatial distribution produced by harmonic pulsating acoustic monopole submerged in shallow water is made by approach of 3D-simulation and finite-element analysis. Wave field is investigated for homogeneous and layered bottom models by several values of ground acoustic rigidity and different depths of hydro-acoustic source submersion. The results can find an application in sea shelf seismic profiling.

Scientific interests: acoustic and seismic wave propagation and radiation of these waves by coherent vibration sources, generation of seismic waves with sharp space-angle directivity on the base of phase arrays, the seismic signal reception, acoustic probing of heterogeneous in bowels of the earth, developing of the approaches for the enhancement of hydro-carbonates seismic probing efficiency.
